About Kinda Georgia Media

Our Mission

What We Value

At KGM, we believe equine businesses deserve marketing that truly reflects who they are. That means no stock photos of the wrong discipline, no generic captions written by someone who’s never cleaned a stall, and no cookie-cutter strategy. We take the time to understand your world so we can tell your story the right way.

About Georgia

Georgia Ormerod has been a horse person her entire life — long before she ever took her first lesson. Once she did, there was no going back. She worked her way through just about every barn job there is: mucking stalls as a working student, grooming at horse shows, announcing at competitions, instructing junior riders, and managing farms. She’s dabbled in Hunters, Jumpers, Eventing, Dressage, Pony Club Games, Extreme Cowboy, and Trail Riding. Horses have never just been a hobby — they’ve been her whole world.

At the same time, Georgia was building a career in media. She studied Broadcast Journalism at Seneca College in Toronto, where she developed her skills in storytelling, writing, and announcing. She interned for a hit television show, worked as a brand ambassador for a top-rated radio station, and went back to school for Social Media Marketing at George Brown College. From there she worked at a marketing company, sharpening her skills in content creation, graphic design, and strategy.

Eventually, she stopped keeping the two worlds separate — and Kinda Georgia Media was born.

Say Hello to Cabana Boy

Every business has an origin story. Georgia’s has four legs and a lot of personality.

Her horse Cabana Boy (Bana, to anyone who knows him) has been her rock through the whole journey of finding her place in the equestrian and media world. He’s the reason Kinda Georgia Media exists, and he’s a pretty good reminder of why this work matters.

What keeps Georgia going is seeing what a strong social media presence can do for a small equine business. For some, 100 comments is a win. For others, 3 comments is a win. It’s not about the numbers in isolation — it’s about setting the right goals for your audience and watching your business grow because of it.
